Mahbub Khan builds and runs PlayDapple. By day he works as an IAM Analyst in Governance and Risk, where careful design and attention to detail are part of the job. PlayDapple is his side project: a place for small, honest browser games with no accounts, no downloads and no clutter.

PlayDapple is an independent collection of small browser games, operated by PlayDapple.

Why we made it

A few spare minutes can be enough for a good break. PlayDapple brings familiar arcade and puzzle ideas together in one simple place, with no account or installation required.

The collection

Play Bamblewick, Sky Ranks, Brick Breaker, Minesweeper, Sudoku, Sliding Puzzle, Memory Match, Solitaire, Color Sort, Pipe Connect, Tile Connect, Snake, Brick Game, 2048, and Color Clash. Games include keyboard or touch controls, instructions, and a compact Mini mode where supported. Most games reset on refresh. Bamblewick can optionally remember cleared-stage stars and best scores in this browser; it does not save an exact mid-stage run.

How we build

Our games use lightweight HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. They run in your browser with original code and presentation. Brick Breaker draws inspiration from classic paddle-and-ball games; its artwork and level formations are our own. The project is independently made and is not an official edition of those classics.

What you will find here

PlayDapple has fifteen free games: puzzles such as Sudoku, Minesweeper and Sliding Puzzle, card games including Solitaire and Color Clash, arcade games like Brick Breaker and Snake, and two longer adventures, Bamblewick and Sky Ranks. Every game runs in your browser, on desktop and phone, with no account or download.

How we keep it good

We use automated rule checks and browser checks to test game behaviour and layouts. Test coverage varies by game; emulated phone layouts do not replace testing on every physical device. We fix reported bugs, improve controls and accessibility, and add new games and guides over time. Our strategy guides are written for the games on this site and are updated when the games change.

Advertising and independence

PlayDapple is independent. We may show advertising in the future to cover running costs, and if we do, ads will be clearly labelled and kept away from the game area. See our Privacy Policy for details.
